The Tagaytay City Shooting Team is made possible by Mayor Bambol Tolentino.  Mayor Bambol has been working on several projects that are most often not published.  Sometimes he works silently, doing his job and people just get surprised that results are coming out .

But gratitude don’t deserve to be shelved.  Maraming salamat po Mayor Bambol sa suporta nyo sa kabataan. Mabuhay po kayo.

April 12, 2008. this date will be come down to history as the day when Tagaytay City received its team trophy as champions in the recently concluded 1st Mayor Freddie Tinga Invitational Shootfest. Tagaytay City never expected this to happen since the strong Taguig contingent has been on the range every other day.

With great help from the great coaches and lastly from Coach Carol who’s siblings played with the team, Tagaytay City had more than a bagful of medals.

The following got their individual medals:

Kalvin Ave M. Sumagui – Champion, 12-14 age bracket, bench rest pistol with 356 points

Eduardo Malapajo Jr. – 2nd runner up, 12-14 age bracket, bench rest rifle

Simon Karl Gonzales – Champion, 15-17 age bracket, pistol standing

Shanin Gonzales – Champion, 14-17 age bracket, women’s pistol standing

Carina dela Victoria – 2nd runner up, 14-17 age, women’s rifle standing
